Training Grounds

This was my final entry for the CGMA Environment art for games in UE4.

In this 10 week course, I worked from a concept art (Lok Du - Blacksmith shop and the challenges of bringing a 2D image into a 3D space. During my trajectory, I pushed into the entire process from reference gathering, block out, modeling, texturing, lighting, post-processing, and composition. Everything was made from scratch.

I decided to tackle this environment by simulating an open-world game. I had to be careful and optimize every asset to fit this specific type of genre. This was such an excellent opportunity to learn the ins and outs of making an entire scene and get familiar with the production pipeline.
