Edge of Time Diorama

I am always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of my craft, and this project was no exception. I wanted to bring a unique, hand-drawn style to the world of 3D and create something that felt truly special.

One of the key elements that helped me achieve this goal was the cel-shading. It creates a bold, black outline around objects, filling them in with flat colors and creating a distinct look reminiscent of classic cartoons. By applying the technique to the textures and models, I was able to give the scene a hand-drawn quality that makes it stand out from the classic PBR approach.

Of course, style is not just about technique. It's also about the choices made for composition, lighting, and color. In this project, I paid close attention to these elements, using lighting to create a moody and atmospheric feel and choosing colors that evoke a dark, foreboding atmosphere of a dungeon.
